Trevor Pyke
Trevor Pyke (* 1932 in Hendon , Middlesex , England , † 1997 in Chichester , West Sussex , England) was a British sound engineer .
Life
Pyke began his career in the mid-1950s and worked on 44 feature films by 1989, including The Boat , 1984 and The Neverending Story . 1983 he was on the boat together with Milan Bor and Mike Le Mare for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated, but the award went this year to Steven Spielberg's science fiction film E.T. - The alien . He was also active in television productions, including the British television series Gene Bradley in a Secret Mission and The Professionals .
Pyke retired from the film and television business in 1989 and died in Chichester, West Sussex, in 1997 at the age of 65.
