Trinity Seven: 7-nin no Masho Tsukai ( Japanese ト リ ニ テ ィ セ ブ ン 7 人 の 魔 書 使 い , German “Trinity Seven: the seven magic book users”) is a manga series by Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao , the In 2014, it was also adapted as an anime television series.
action
At the center of the plot is the teenage boy Arata Kasuga, who lived with his cousin Hijiri Kasuga until one day a black sun appeared in the sky, which destroyed the city and dissolved all residents. Before she also disappeared, Hijiri gave him a magic book with which he unconsciously created an illusion of the former city including Hijiri. A few days later, the sorceress Lilith Asami appears, who frees him from this illusion and gives him the choice of either destroying the magic book due to its immense power and losing all memories of the event or to die. He decides to take the third way, to become a mage himself, in order to find a way to bring Hijiri back. Lilith then introduces him to the Royal Biblia School ( 王立 ビ ブ リ ア 学園 , Ōritsu Biburia Gakuen ), where she teaches. The headmaster explains to him that in order to get Hijiri back, he needs the cooperation of the seven most powerful sorceresses at the school: Lilith Asami, Arin Kannazuki, Levi Kazama, Mira Yamana, Akio Fudō, Yui Kurata and Lieselotte Sherlock. Each magician specializes in a certain topic ( テ ー マ , Tēma ), which is in contrast to his own character or something from which the magician is furthest away and one of the magic archives named after the Seven Deadly Sins (
characters
- Arata Kasuga ( 春日 ア ラ タ , Kasuga Arata )
- Arata is the protagonist of the plot. He has a great magical potential, which allowed him to work such a strong spell as the illusion of a complete city, so that he is also referred to as a "demon king / magic king candidate" ( 魔王 候補 , maō kōho ). As he strives for normalcy and prefers when others can live as they please, he's Superbia, the arrogance associated with the topic Imper (
支配 , Imperu ), control, which gives him the ability to neutralize and copy alien magic.
- Lilith Asami ( 浅見 リ リ ス , Asami Ririsu )
- Lilith is the same age as Arata, but a teacher at the Royal Biblia School. She has a serious demeanor and an attractive figure, which often makes her the target of Arata's and Levi's personalities, especially since she is very sensitive to this. She's Luxuria, the lust , assigned, and its theme is Abies (
生命 , Abiesu ), life, with their magic being the Outer Alchemic (錬 金 術 , Autā Arukemikku ), which is alchemy . She fights with magically generated firearms, which is also expressed in the fact that she wears a beret .
- Arin Kannazuki ( 神 無 月 ア リ ン , Kannazuki Arin )
- Arin is very similar in appearance to Arata's cousin Hijiri and sees herself as the future wife of the Demon King and thus Aratas. She has a stoic and unemotional character, her destructive anger being unimaginable, so that she addresses the theme of Ruina (
崩 壊 , Ruīna ), Decline, from the archive Ira, Zorn , dedicated. She uses the destruction magic Chaosic Rune (聖 儀 術 , Kaoshikku Rūn ). Arin is also quite awkward socially - she has no shame - and has the habit of responding to her inappropriate behavior with a questioning "This is difficult" ( 難 し い の ね… , Muzukashii no ne… ).
- Levi Kazama ( 風 間 レ ヴ ィ , Kazama Revi )
- Levi is a Kunoichi (female ninja) and specializes in assassination and, according to his own statement, bedroom techniques. She has a very sociable character and gets along particularly well with Arata, especially when both of them raise Lilith together. Since ninja are loners and therefore have no expectations of others, their topic is Expecto (
期待 , Ekusupekuto ), the expectation, from the group Invidia, Jealousy. Her ninja techniques are called Shamanic Spell (忍 法術 , Shāmanikku Superu ). Levi's distinguishing mark is that she wears a scarf on all occasions.
- Mira Yamana ( 山 奈 ミ ラ , Yamana Mira )
- Mira is the chairwoman of Grimoire Security (
王立 図 書館 検 閲 官 , Gurimowāru Sekyuriti, literally: “Inspectorate / Censorate of the Royal Library”), d. H. responsible for the safety at the school. As such, it is also their job to eliminate those magicians whose magic gets out of control, which is referred to as the "decay phenomenon " ( 崩 壊 現象 , hōkai genshō ), as it was Arata's Black Sun. Therefore, she is initially hostile to him. It is assigned to Superbia , and its subject is Iustitia (正義 , Yūsutitia ), Justice, and their magic is Gehenna Scope (映 晶 術 , Gehena Sukōpu ) with which she can reflect other magic and analyze weak points.
- Akio Fudō ( 不 動 ア キ オ , Fudō Akio )
- Akio is Mira's partner and specializes in hand-to-hand combat, in particular magically reinforced kicking techniques with which she can break through masonry herself. She is a former Spriggan (
秘宝 巫女 , Supurigan, literally: "treasure priestess") of the sky library. She is comparatively tall at 1.70 m, but has the ability to take on the body of a child if she loses her magic powers. Since she lost her faith, her subject is Fides (信仰 , Fidesu ), the belief, from the group Gula, of gluttony , during their magic mantra Enchant (真言 術 , Mantora Enchanto ) is called.
- Yui Kurata ( 倉田 ユ イ , Kurata Yui )
- Yui lives secluded from the rest of the students in the school's cellar vaults, withdrawing herself into a dream world in which she also takes on an idealized appearance. After being rescued by Arata, she shows herself very attached to him. Since she willingly shares everything she's Avaritia, the avarice , assigned, and has because of its retracted life the subject Amicitia (
友情 , Amikitia ), friendship. Their magic is called Arch Symphony (重唱 術 , Āku Shinfonī ), with which she can enhance other magic.
- Lieselotte Sherlock ( リ ー ゼ ロ ッ テ = シ ャ ル ロ ッ ク , Rīzerotte Sharurokku )
- Lieselotte was once the vice-chairwoman of Grimoire Security until she took advantage of this position to also become a candidate for the Demon King. As a busy, hasty character, she is assigned to Acedia, the laziness, and her subject is Stagna (
停滞 , Sutaguna ), the standstill. With their logos type (数 秘 術 ( Rogosu Āto, literally: numerology ) called magic, it can steal the magic of others.
- Selina Sherlock ( セ リ ナ = シ ャ ル ロ ッ ク , Serina Sharurokku )
- Selina is Lieselotte's younger twin sister as well as at the school newspaper and as such always close to Arata's group. Her magic is also Logos Art, but her subject is Ligare, which allows her to magically captivate others. Unlike her twin sister, she is not a member of the "Trinity Seven".
- Sora ( ソ ラ )
- Sora is the speaking magic book Aratas and also known as the Astil manuscript ( ア ス テ ィ ル の 写 本 , Asutiru no shahon ), which is said to have knowledge from another world. Sora got this nickname from Hijiri.
