The Trommetsheimer Berg near Trommetsheim , a district of Alesheim ( Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district ), is 511  m above sea level. NHN high witness mountain of the Franconian Alb low mountain range .

geography

location

The wooded mountain is located in the Altmühltal Nature Park a few kilometers southeast of the eponymous town of Trommetsheim. To the northeast lies Kattenhochstatt , to the south Metzenhof , Schertnershof and Lengenfeld . The municipal boundary between Alesheim and the large district town of Weißenburg in Bavaria runs along the mountain; the mountain peak is in the Kattenhochstatt district, a district of Weißenburg. The municipal boundary to the city of Treuchtlingen runs to the south. Not far to the south, the Altmühl flows along.

Natural allocation

The Trommetsheimer Berg belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Franconian Keuper-Lias-Land (No. 11), in the main unit foreland of the Southern Franconian Jura (110) and in the subunit Weißenburger Bucht (110.3) to the natural area foreland of the Weißenburger Alb (110.32).
