history

The village was probably founded in the late 14th century under German law or transferred from Polish / Ruthenian law and was first mentioned in 1419 as Crzesnow (c) e or Crzeschnowe .

In 1923 Helena Polaczkówna published the Latin-language jury book of the village from 1419 to 1619, which provided a lot of information about court cases in the village, including many names of the inhabitants of the village in the 15th and 16th centuries. This led Polaczkówna to the subjective impression that in the early 15th century the village in the Sanok region of the Ruthenian Voivodeship was inhabited by Polish settlers, possibly with some Czech village chiefs. The Nazi historian Kurt Lück , on the other hand, judged in 1934 that the village was half Polish and half German in the 15th century. From 1473, the first individual Ruthenian or Ukrainian names appeared, but the village remained predominantly Roman Catholic.

Trześniów belonged to the parish in Jasionów until the late 16th century , but during the Reformation the owners of Jasionów, the Błoński family, changed the church to the Reformed (Lutheran) prayer house. In response, the residents of Trześniów set up their own Roman Catholic parish.

During the First Partition of Poland , Trześniów became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804). From 1855 Trześniów belonged to the Brzozów District .

After the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Trześniów became part of Poland in 1918. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . From 1975 to 1998 Trześniów was part of the Krosno Voivodeship .
