Tscherneschtschyna ( Ukrainian Чернещина ; Russian Чернещина Tscherneschtschina ) is a village in the southwest of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1750, is the administrative center of the eponymous, 73.17 km² district council in the northwest of Satschepyliwka Raion , to which the villages Novosseliwka ( Новоселівка , ⊙ ) with about 700 inhabitants and Pysmakivka ( Письмаківка with about 10 , ⊙ ) belong .
The village is located near the border with Poltava Oblast at an altitude of 88 m on the right bank of the Ortschyk ( Орчик ), a 108 km long right tributary of the Oril , 20 km northwest of the center of Sachepylivka and 130 km southwest of the center of Kharkiv .
