Tschernjatyn ( Ukrainian Чернятин ; Russian Чернятин Tschernjatin , Polish Czerniatyn ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 3100 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1453, is the only place of the eponymous, 26.313 km² district council in Horodenka Rajon .
The village is located on the regional road P-24 in the east of the historical Galicia 4 km southwest of the Horodenka district center and about 75 km southeast of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast center .
