The Tschong-Kemin ( Kyrgyz Чоң Кемин дарыясы ; Russian Чонг-Кемин, Чон-Кемин , "Great Kemin") is a right tributary of the Tschüi in the north of Kyrgyzstan .
The Chong-Kemin River originates north of Issyk Kul -Sees in Küngöy Ala-Too Range . The river is fed by the glaciers . In its source area is the mountain lake Dschaschylköl , which is also called "Green Lake" and is enclosed on two sides by moraines at an altitude of 3116 m . The Tschong-Kemin flows in a westerly direction through a narrow mountain valley that separates the Kungej-Alatau in the south from the Transili-Alatau in the north. The valley widens about 40 km above the mouth. The Tschong-Kemin flows through a gorge for the last 10 km up to the confluence with the Tschüi.
The Tschong-Kemin has a length of 116 km. It drains an area of 1890 km². The mean discharge at the mouth is 21.7 m³ / s.
The Tschong-Kemin National Park, founded in 1997, is located in the Tschong-Kemin river valley.
25 km long rafting tours are offered on the Tschong-Kemin .
