Test match series in the Southwest Regional Football League
In the second half of the 2017/2018 season of the Southwest Football Regionalliga , the Chinese U20s were supposed to compete against the free team (except TuS Koblenz , SV Waldhof Mannheim and SV Stuttgarter Kickers ) in order to prepare for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo prepare. After protests by members of the Tibet Initiative Germany in the first game against TSV Schott Mainz on November 18, 2017 , and the game had to be interrupted and "both associations had substantial indications of further escalations," the German football team decided The federal government and the Chinese Football Association will postpone the remaining three games, which were supposed to be played in 2017, on November 24, 2017, until after the winter break. On December 22nd, 2017, the DFB and the CFA decided not to continue the test series, apart from TSV Schott Mainz, the participating clubs will not receive the promised bonus of 15,000 euros.
