Turar Rysqulow ( Kazakh Тұрар Рысқұлов ауылы , Russian Село имени Турара Рыскулова ; until 1992 Wannovka ) is a place in southern Kazakhstan . It is named after the Soviet politician Turar Rysqulow .
geography
The village of Turar Rysqulow is located in southern Kazakhstan in the east of the Turkistan region, around 50 kilometers as the crow flies from the Kyrgyz border. It is located about 60 kilometers northeast of Shymkent and about 90 kilometers west of Taras in a valley. This is bounded in the north by the Qaratau , in the south an extension of the Talas-Alatau extends . A few kilometers to the southeast is the Aksu-Jabagly nature reserve, the oldest state nature reserve in Central Asia. Turar Rysqulow is the administrative seat of Audany Tülkibas and the subordinate rural district of Mailykent.
history
The place was founded in 1887 by Russian settlers. These originally came from the regions around Voronezh and Zaporizhia in today's Ukraine . He was originally called Lissizino (Лисицино). In 1904 the village was renamed in Wannowka (Ванновка) in honor of the former Minister of War and Education Pyotr Semjonowitsch Wannowski .
After Kazakhstan's independence, Wannovka was renamed on September 13, 1992 in honor of the Kazakh-Soviet politician Turar Rysqulow in Turar Rysqulow.

At the 1999 census, Turar Rysqulow had 15,182 inhabitants. The last census in 2009 showed a population of 17,311 for the place. The extrapolation of the population resulted in a population of 18,481 as of January 1, 2020.

traffic
The A2 expressway , an important east-west connection in southern Kazakhstan, runs south of Turar Rysqulow . It leads in a westerly direction to Schymkent before it reaches the Uzbek border and finally continues to Tashkent . In an easterly direction it continues to the Chinese border via Taras and Almaty . Nine kilometers from the village is the Tülkibas train station , which is connected to the Turkestan-Siberian Railway .
