Tusly ( Ukrainian Тузли ; Russian Тузлы , Romanian Tuzla ) is a village in Budschak in southwest Ukraine with about 1900 inhabitants (2006).
The village, founded in 1787, is the administrative center of the district council of the same name . Tusly is located on Burnas Liman ( Бурнас лиман ), a Ramsar area on the Black Sea coast in the east of Tatarbunary Rajon in Odessa Oblast . The name comes from the Turkish tuzla for "salts, salt works".
The district center of Tatarbunary is 43 km to the east and the Oblast center of Odessa is about 115 km to the northeast of the village. In addition to Tusly, the district council also includes the villages of Wessela Balka ( Весела Балка ⊙ ) Lebediwka ( Лебедівка ⊙ ) and Novomychajliwka ( Новомихайлівка ⊙ ).
