The Tweralpspitz is a 1,331 meter high mountain in the canton of St. Gallen and there the highest point in the municipality of Eschenbach , until the end of 2012 the highest point in St. Gallenkappel .
From a geological point of view, it consists primarily of rocks from the Upper Freshwater Molasse : Nagelfluh , sandstone and marl . It is the highest and thus the main summit north of the Rickenpass , where the other peaks are mostly not separated or connected by ridges and thus all have to be considered secondary peaks of the Tweralpspitze.
The most important peaks of these mountain ranges are:
- Schnebelhorn 1292 m
- Schwarzenberg 1293 m
