History of origin
In addition to his work as a member of the Strawbs, Cousins put together the album Two Weeks Last Summer in 1972 from his own material, which had not previously been released on Strawbs records. To this end, musicians from the folk and rock scene were invited, who by then had already earned their own reputation, such as Roger Glover from Deep Purple and Jon Hiseman from Colosseum . The record was recorded in June 1972 at "The Manor" studio near Oxford and released in October. Dave Lambert, who was soon to become a member of the Strawbs, was also represented. Stylistically, she combines folk and rock with tendencies towards hard and progressive rock , like the Strawbs albums that followed . "Going Home" was later released as a single. This track was originally intended as a solo single by Dave Lambert.
