Tyschkivka ( Ukrainian Тишківка ; Russian Тишковка Tishkovka ) is a village in Dobrovelychkivka district in the central Ukrainian region of Kirovohrad . It is near the geographic center of Ukraine. The village extends over an area of ​​6.662 km², the population is 3497 (as of December 16, 2006). After a high of 7,800 inhabitants in 1973, the number of inhabitants is falling steadily. The postcode of Tyschkivka is 27013.

The district council also includes the two villages Andrijiwka (Андріївка) and Bohdaniwka (Богданівка).

history

The territory of the present-day settlement was inhabited by many sedentary and wandering tribes as early as the late Neolithic . It is estimated that the settlement was built between 1630 and 1650. The founder was an old Cossack named Tyschko, who settled there with his family and after whom the settlement was named. Tyschko took in every Kripak who had fled and gave them a job with decent pay. The settlement got bigger and bigger. Since 1667 the settlement became Polish in 1681 it came under Russian control.

On January 10, 1939, Tyshkivka became the district center of Tyshkivka district . On June 7, 1957, the Dobrowelychkivka district was established and the Tyschkivka settlement was assigned to the Dobrowelychkivka administrative district .

Tyschkivka is in the forest steppe zone ; the climatic conditions are the same as in Dobrovelychkivka.

geography

Tyschkivka is located 22 kilometers from the geographic center of Ukraine. The exact center point is a point about 700 meters northwest of the local border of Dobrowelytschkivka.

The settlement is located on the southwestern side of the Dnieper highlands (Ukrainian: Придніпровська височина ) at an altitude of 166 meters above sea level. The Synyucha River runs 21 kilometers to the north, and the Chornyj Tashlyk River 95 kilometers to the south .

The Marjaniwka settlement lies in a northerly direction along the main highway . Lypnjaschka lies to the south . The next railway connection is 46 kilometers south in Pomitschna .

economy

The economy in Tyschkivka is almost entirely focused on agriculture. 92% of those employed work in agriculture; 8% in the service industry.
