Tyson Spink (born December 31, 1992 in Williamstown , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player in the position of winger who has been under contract with Porin Ässät in the Finnish Liiga since the 2019/20 season . His twin brother Tylor Spink is also a hockey player.

Career

Tyson Spink started his career with the Char-Lan Rebels , but in the same season he also played for the Cornwall Colts , for which he subsequently appeared until 2012. Together with his twin brother Tylor Spink , the Canadian studied at Colgate University and played for the ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

After graduating in the 2015/16 season, he played five more games in the ECHL for Toledo Walleye , in which he scored four points . For the 2016/17 season he extended his contract with Toledo together with his brother, in the successful season he scored 75 points (33 goals, 42 assists) and was voted ECHL Rookie of the Year .

He then ventured to Europe with his twin Tylor and switched to Svenska Hockeyligan (SHL) for Örebro HK and has played for the Finnish club Porin Ässät since the 2019/20 season .
