Tyukod is a large municipality in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County in northeast Hungary with 1,863 inhabitants (as of 2011). It lies between Mátészalka and Csenger , a place on the border with Romania .
In 1514, the nobility of the community joined the Dózsa uprising and were punished after its suppression with the confiscation of its property. In Tyukod there was a church built in the 14th century, in the place of which a late Baroque building was built in 1795. Also worth seeing is the classicist castle of Baron Kálmán Uray from the 19th century, the facade of which is provided with a pillared hall in the middle.
The Szatmári Konzervgyár Kft. Canning factory is located in Tyukod .
