Tywęzy ( German  Tiefensee ) is a village in the rural community Dzierzgoń ( Christburg ) in the powiat Sztumski ( Stuhm district ) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village is located in the historical region of West Prussia six kilometers southwest of the city of Dzierzgoń .

history

Tiefensee was originally laid out as a Hufenzinsdorf around 1314 by Luther of Braunschweig on Prussian soil (Globin field) southwest of Christburg. It is considered likely that there was a church of its own in Tiefensee, or that a church in Tiefensee was also supplied by the pastor of the neighboring parish of Baalau . Remains of a cemetery can still be seen directly on the road.
