The Rennbahnweg station on the Vienna underground line U1 in the 22nd district of Donaustadt was built at an elevated position. It is located parallel to Wagramer Straße at the Rennbahnweg. The Rennbahnweg, which gives the station its name, was named in 1928 after the auxiliary racetrack of the Vienna Trotting Club that once existed at this point.

The station was opened on September 2, 2006 with the commissioning of the section of the U1 between the Kagran and Leopoldau stations . Elevators and fixed staircases take you from the central platform to the Wagramer Strasse / Rennbahnweg intersection or to the Rennbahnweg residential complex.

You can change to bus routes 25A in the direction of Süßenbrunn and 27A in the direction of Kagran or Erzherzog-Karl-Straße ( Stadlau ) as well as to regional bus routes to the Weinviertel . To the east of the station are the Trotting Grounds , a community building with over 2,400 residential units and around 7,000 residents.
