The Union-Sportklub Anif is a football club from the municipality of Anif in the state of Salzburg . The club has been playing in the third highest performance level, the Regionalliga West , since the 2015/16 season .

history

The original USK Anif was founded in 1947. In the 1978/79 season they even played in second class for a short time under coach Adolf Blutsch . As the bottom of the table, however, you had to relegate straight back to the Alpine League.

In June 2012, the then third-class club was converted to FC Liefering . At the same time, the club was re-established as FC Anif and entered into a syndicate with the Red Bull Juniors .

In the 2012/13 season you could reach sixth place in the Regionalliga West. In the following season you had to be 14th, two points behind a non-relegation place, but relegated to the Salzburg League . In 2014/15 they became champions of the Salzburg League after just one season, 23 points ahead of the amateurs of SV Grödig . After the promotion, the syndicate with the Red Bull Juniors was dissolved and they played again as USK Anif.

In the promotion season they missed promotion to professional football as second behind WSG Wattens .
