Udo Andriof

Udo Andriof (born September 18, 1942 in Ulm ) is a German lawyer and former political official .

Life

Andriof was born in Ulm in 1942. After studying law in Bonn and Freiburg , Andriof initially worked for the public prosecutor at the Ulm District Court . In 1969 he received his doctorate in Freiburg. From 1970 to 1978 he worked in the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg before he was appointed Vice President of the Tübingen Regional Council in 1978 . In 1985 he returned to the State Ministry as a department head.

In 1989 he became the district president of the Regional Council of Stuttgart appointed. In this role, he was responsible for numerous major projects, including the construction of the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Center , Stuttgart 21 and motorway extensions. He retired in 2007. In 2008 he received the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit .

After the Winnenden rampage , he became head of the Amok expert group , which worked out prevention proposals.

On September 24, 2010 he was appointed, together with Wolfgang Dietrich , as project spokesman for the Stuttgart – Ulm rail project (Stuttgart 21 and the new Wendlingen – Ulm line ). He resigned from this position at the beginning of May 2011 and ended his position at the end of May 2011.

Andriof is married, has two children and has been a member of the CDU since 1966 .
