Udo Tischer (born November 26, 1956 in Herbrechtingen ; † February 4, 1992 in Stuttgart ) was a German politician and trade unionist.

From 1976 to 1977 he was a member of the CDU , 1979 founding member of the Greens . Tischer was an active trade unionist with IG Metall since 1978. Tischer was also a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt , the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund and the unemployment initiative “Other construction site” in Ulm.

He was elected on the state list of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg as a successor for the Bundestag group; From April 3, 1985 to February 18, 1987 he was a member of the German Bundestag as successor to Wolfgang Ehmke (Ettlingen). This made Tischer the youngest member of the Bundestag at the time. There were increasing differences within the Greens. The final break came in October 1986, when Tischer massively criticized the election manifesto of its own party and described the Greens as practically ineligible. Since December 2, 1986 he was a non-attached MP .

In 1992, Tischer was killed when he fell from his apartment on the 17th floor of a high-rise in Stuttgart. The police investigations assumed a suicide. However, the exact background of the incident was never known, which is why the assumption of suicide could never be confirmed. Close relatives assume an accident.
