Ueli Mooser

Ueli Mooser (born January 24, 1944 as Ulrich Mooser ) is a Swiss folk musician , composer and musical instrumentalist from Birmensdorf in the canton of Zurich .

Musical career

He began his musical career with improvisations on the piano followed by piano lessons. He completed the teachers' seminar in Küsnacht ZH .

After seven years as a primary school teacher , he studied clarinet and double bass at the conservatory , which became his main instruments. As a country musician, Mooser started in the country band Zoge-n-am Boge under the direction of Thomas Marthaler . This was followed by numerous stations, including the Dünner-Nauer Chapel , the Willi Valotti Trio and the Turi Schellenberg Trio . Even Peter Zinsli was one of his musical companions. Today he plays in the group Hanneli-Musig and u. a. Temporary also at the Engadiner LÄNDERFRUNDA , where Domenic Janett also plays. His current main formations are the Hanneli-Musig and the Ueli Mooser dance band .

Compositions

His compositions largely correspond to the Bündner style or the concertante Central Switzerland style . Sometimes he uses the bass violin as a melody instrument. As an experienced composer and arranger , he also landed a folk music - Evergreen , Maloja -Wind .
