Ugo Liberatore

Ugo Liberatore (born September 26, 1927 in San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore ) is an Italian screenwriter and film director .

Life

From 1958 on, Liberatore wrote numerous screenplays for genre films , often for sandal films , but also more demanding works for Damiano Damiani , Pasquale Festa Campanile or Mauro Bolognini . In 1967 and 1968 he directed two films that encountered difficulties with censorship, but of which v. a. Bora Bora was a huge hit with the public. In these works he pioneered the depiction of erotic scenes and the sex act in films, which he mixed with current problems of the time such as drug use. After less successful films, this concept reserved repeated, and the horror - thriller Nero Veneziano 1977 returned Liberatore to work as an author.
