Ulla Strömstedt

Ulla Strömstedt (born November 27, 1939 in Stockholm , † June 13, 1986 in Cannes , France ) was a Swedish actress .

Life

Strömstedt finished her studies in Stockholm in 1958 and then studied French and art in Paris ; among others at the Sorbonne . This was followed by acting studies at The Actors Studio . In 1961, she married Gilbert Cole in Los Angeles and received her first television role that year. After guest roles in various television series, she was cast in 1965 for the recurring role of Ulla Norstrand in the series Flipper , which she played in twelve episodes. Strömsted played the lead female role in the Swedish thriller Den gula bilen by Arne Mattsson in 1963 . In 1965 she had an extra role in the Doris Day comedy Do not disturb! . In 1967 she was seen in the B-movie Catalina Caper , about which the series Mystery Science Theater 3000 made fun of in the third season. In 1968 the family moved to Europe , where they first lived in London , Paris and Brussels , and in 1978 they settled in Cannes . During this time, Strömstedt had completely withdrawn from show business. Most recently she was in the German-language television productions Achtung Zoll! and to face the sun .

Strömstedt died in Cannes in 1986. Their marriage resulted in a son.
