The Ulrich barracks in Kleinaitingen ( Bavaria ) is owned by the Bundeswehr .

The barracks are located between Augsburg and Landsberg am Lech in the Kleinaitingen district of "Lechfeld-Nord" at the Oberottmarshausen exit on the federal highway 17, which is now free of intersections . Four kilometers to the south is the Lechfeld air base with the adjacent Lechfeld barracks .
Naming
The barracks was inaugurated on October 8, 1960 and was initially called Lechfeld-Nord. It was given its current name Ulrich-Kaserne on July 10, 1964. The name is intended to commemorate the holy bishop Ulrich von Augsburg , who defeated the Hungarians in the battle of Lechfeld in 955 .
