Ulrich Klinkert

Ulrich Klinkert (born May 23, 1955 in Wittichenau ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1994 to 1998 he was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety .

Life and work

After high school in 1973 made Klinkert first his military service , and subsequently completed in 1976 to study at the Freiberg Mining Academy , which he as 1981 Diploma - Engineering ended. He then worked in the lignite mining industry in Lusatia until 1990 .

Since 2003 he has been in charge of the environmental protection / permits department at the energy company Vattenfall Europe Mining & Generation in Cottbus . On December 1, 2005, Klinkert took over the position of head of the “Public Affairs” department at Vattenfall Holding in Berlin.

Ulrich Klinkert is married and has two children.
