Ulrich Mosiek

Ulrich Mosiek (born June 22, 1919 in Lissa , Posen province ; † February 12, 1978 in Wittnau (Breisgau) ) was a German canonist .

Mosiek was born in 1919 as the son of railway inspector Stephan Mosiek and his wife Hedwig geb. Hoffmann was born in Lissa in what was then the province of Posen in the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1937 he graduated from high school at the Zwinger in Breslau . In the winter semester of 1937/38 he began studying theology at the University of Breslau . From 1939 to 1945 he was in the Wehrmacht . In 1948 he was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Breslau in Regensburg . In 1957 he became a private lecturer at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . From 1963 he was professor for canon law at the theological faculty of the University of Freiburg.
