Ulrich Ritzel

Ulrich Ritzel (* 1940 in Pforzheim ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Ulrich Ritzel spent his childhood and youth in the Swabian Alb and has lived as a freelance writer on Lake Constance and in Laufen / Switzerland since 1998. He studied law in Tübingen, Berlin and Heidelberg. He then wrote for various newspapers, including a. in Mannheim, Kempten, Aichach, Nördlingen, Frankfurt ( Frankfurter Rundschau ), Friedrichshafen ( Schwäbische Zeitung ) and Ulm (chief editor at Südwest Presse ). In 1980 he was awarded the Guardian Prize. In some cases he worked as a court reporter , already knowledgeable through his studies .

Since 1999, he has been publishing detective novels and stories that relate to locations and characters in southern Germany , Berlin , Frankfurt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

The author and his wife have lived in Switzerland since 2008.
