Ulrike Kaup

Ulrike Kaup (* 1958 in Gütersloh ) is a German author .

Life

She studied in Münster with the aim of a teaching German literature and social sciences . In 1984 she lived in Sydney / Australia for half a year . She then took on sideline jobs and worked on a colloquium on text production and text reception at the University of Münster . From 1985 to 1987 she was a trainee teacher at a secondary school and a comprehensive school in Münster. From 1988 to 1989 she trained as a foreign language secretary at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and then worked for several years in Düsseldorf . At the end of 1994 she took part in a seminar for children's book authors run by the Bertelsmann Foundation . Since 1995 she has been a teacher at a secondary school in Gladbeck , and in 1996 she published the first of numerous children's books . She later also started writing stories for adults.
