Ulrike Schweiger

Ulrike Schweiger (* 1969 in Linz ) is an Austrian screenwriter , director , film producer and dramaturgical consultant.

Life

Ulrike Schweiger has lived in Vienna since 1973. After graduating from high school in 1987, she studied decorative arts in Brussels in 1987/88 . In 1989 she completed a radio and television workshop at Stanford University in the USA . From 1990, Schweiger studied directing with Peter Patzak and film production with Peter Mayer at the University of Music and Performing Arts (Film and Television Department). In November 1995 she graduated with honors as a Magistra artis.

As a result, some films made after the training period were shown at numerous festivals and received multiple awards. Since March 1999 she has been working on the scripts with Michael Tanczos (scripts for Twinni, For a handful of luck and everything will be fine ).

Schweiger is a member and on the board of the script FORUM Vienna and is a member of the Austrian Film Director Association.
