The Adırnaz Çayı is a right tributary of the Simav Çayı in northwestern Turkey .
The Adırnaz Çayı forms the ancient river Rhyndakos below the confluence of the Orhaneli Çayı . The river has different names on the different sections of the river: Emet Çayı , Alıova Çayı , Mustafakemalpaşa Çayı and Uluabat Deresi .
The river has its headwaters 17 km north of Gediz in the province of Kütahya . It initially flows as Emet Çayı in a predominantly northerly direction. It passes Hisarcık and flows west past the Emet . It then turns to the northwest and flows along the provincial border between Balıkesir and Bursa . From Hopanlar , the D230 trunk road follows the course of the river for a distance of 20 km. Above the village of Devecikonağı , the river is dammed up by the Devecikonağı dam for the use of hydropower . Below Devecikonağı the Orhaneli Çayı flows into the river from the right. The Adırnaz Çayı flows through the city of Mustafakemalpaşa as Mustafakemalpaşa Çayı and flows into the southwestern shore of Lake Uluabat Gölü . He leaves this again on the west bank. As Uluabat Deresi he passes the place Uluabat , the ancient Lopadium . The late antique Constantine Bridge spanned the river there. Today there are still remains of the bridge piers. Finally, the Adırnaz Çayı flows east of the city of Karacabey into the Simav Çayı, which flows north.
