Hisarcık is a city and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Kütahya . The city is located about 70 kilometers west of the provincial capital Kütahya . According to the city seal in 1967, the place was upgraded to a municipality ( Belediye ).

The district is located in the west of the province. It borders on Gediz County to the south, Simav County to the southwest and west, and Emet County to the north and east . The D595 trunk road runs through the district town and the district and leads north from Simav past İznik Gölü to the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of Marmara . The city lies in the valley of the river Emet Çayı (also Alıova Çayı ), which flows further north into the lake Uluabat Gölü . To the west of the river lies part of the Eğrigöz Dağı Mountains , and to the south is the 1437 meter high Kandıra Tepesi .

The district was formed in 1987 from the southwestern part of Emet County. Some villages from the Bucak Merkez and the Hisarcık municipality were separated for this. The community had a population of 4,013 in 1985, at the last census before the change of area.

At the end of 2018, the Hisarcık district included the district town and 25 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 297 residents. Dereköy (850) and Hasanlar (810 inh.) Are the largest villages, eleven villages have more than 297 inhabitants.
