Aslanapa is a city and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Kütahya . The city is located about 25 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Kütahya . The D240 trunk road runs through the district six kilometers from the city. According to the city seal, Aslanapa was elevated to Belediye (municipality) in 1967 .

The district is located in the eastern center of the province. It borders in the southeast on the Altıntaş district , in the southwest on the Gediz district , in the west on the districts Çavdarhisar and Emet , in the north on the district Tavşanlı and in the northeast on the central district. The Göksuyu flows south of the city . In the south of the district is the 1596 meter high Tava Dağı .

In 1987, the south-western part of the central district (Merkez) was separated and re-established as an independent district. Until then, Aslanapa was a separate Bucak within this district and at the last census before the change of area (1985) had a population of 16,079, with 2,058 being accounted for by the Bucak Merkezi and Aslanapa municipality.

At the end of 2018, the district comprised the district town and 31 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 232 residents. The scale of the population ranged from 777 ( Ören ) down to 29 ( Saray ), ten villages had more than 232 inhabitants. The population density (12.6 inh. Per km²) was the second lowest in the province.
