Domaniç is a city and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Kütahya . The city is located about 55 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital Kütahya . The place was destroyed by a major fire in 1926 and raised to a municipality ( Belediye ) in 1960 .

The district is in the north of the province. It borders on Tavşanlı County to the south, Keles County to the west and İnegöl County to the north (both from Bursa Province ) and Bozüyük County to the east ( Bilecik Province ). The D595 trunk road runs through the district town and the district and leads north from Simav past İznik Gölü to the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of ​​Marmara . In the northern half of the district are the Domaniç-Yırce Dağları , which are up to 1906 meters high .

The Domaniç district was formed on April 1, 1960 by splitting off from the northern part of the Tavşanlı district. In addition to the district town, Çukurca (2,330 inhabitants) is another Belediye in addition to the 30 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 272 residents. The scale of the population ranges from 883 ( Muratlı ) to 26 ( Seydikuzu ). Eleven villages have more than 272 inhabitants.
