Umar Hayat Khan (born July 28, 1964 in Peshawar ) is a former Pakistani squash player .

Career

Umar Hayat Khan was active as a squash player between 1982 and 1991 and reached sixth in January 1990, his highest place in the world rankings.

With the Pakistani national team he took part in the World Cup in 1985 , 1987 and 1989 . In 1985 and 1987 he became world champion, and in 1989 vice world champion. In 1985 he lost the opening game in the final against New Zealand , two years later he was also victorious against New Zealand in this time the third game of the encounter. In 1989 he was not used in the final against Australia .
