1988 World Squash Championship

The 12th Men's Squash World Championship (officially NCM World Championship 1988 ) took place from May 10th to 13th, 1988 in Amsterdam , the Netherlands . The tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 1987/88 and was endowed with prize money of 82,000 US dollars.

Defending champion Jansher Khan reached the final again, in which he faced Jahangir Khan . Jahangir Khan won the game with 9: 6, 9: 2 and 9: 2 and at the same time his sixth and last world title.

The field of participants consisted of 32 players, eight of them for qualifiers. The best eight players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
