World Squash Championship 2004

The 26 Squash World Cup ( English PSA World Championship ) of the men was from 28 November to 3 December 2004 in the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha , Qatar , instead. It was the most valuable tournament on the PSA World Tour 2004/05 . At the same time, the women's Qatar Classic was held at the same location .

The defending champion was Amr Shabana , who reached the quarter-finals this year. World champion was the French Thierry Lincou , who defeated Lee Beachill from England in the final with 5:11, 11: 2, 2:11, 12:10 and 11: 8. It was Lincou's first world title. He was also the first Frenchman to win the title.

The men's field of participation consisted of 32 players, including seven places for qualifiers. A wildcard was not awarded.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the 2004 World Squash Championship, the following world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The total prize money was $ 120,000.
