World Squash Championship 1985
The 9th World Squash Championship for Men ( English 1985 Men's World Open Squash Championship ) was held from 18 to 25 November 1985 in Cairo , Egypt , instead. It was the first time that a country in Africa hosted the tournament. The tournament was endowed with $ 50,000 in prize money.
Jahangir Khan won the world championship for the fifth time in a row and became the sole record winner. In the final he defeated Ross Norman 9: 4, 4: 9, 9: 5 and 9: 1.
