from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 10th World Squash Championship for Men ( English 1986 Men's World Open Squash Championship ) was held from November 5 to 11, 1986 in Toulouse , France , instead. The prize pool was $ 55,000.

Defending champion Jahangir Khan has been unbeaten in the tournament since winning the title in 1981 and thus moved into the final after a 3-1 win against Chris Dittmar in the semi-finals. There he met Ross Norman , who had never won against Khan and lost all 30 games so far. With 9: 5, 9: 7, 7: 9 and 9: 1 Norman managed the first win against Khan and at the same time the first win of the world championship.
