The band at the ZMF 2016 in Freiburg

Unduzo is an a cappella band from Freiburg im Breisgau . The group was founded in 2008 from members of the Freiburg University of Music and now consists of five musicians who have studied: the tenor Patrick Heil, the mezzo-soprano and contralto Linda Jesse, the beatboxer and bass Julian Knörzer, the bass and baritone Richard Leisegang and the baritone and tenor Cornelius Mack. When Till Schumann left the group in 2012 because he moved to Bremen , Linda Jesse joined him. Unduzo combine pop, comedy and beatboxing in their performances. When they perform, they only show their own pieces and do not cover songs. In 2014 they were the main act in the Kristallpalast Variete in Leipzig for two months .

The name Unduzo comes from the saying “And you so…”, but according to the band it should sound like a hipster.

In 2014 they won gold twice in the pop and comedy categories and a second place in the comedy category at Vokal.Total in Graz.

They reached third place at the international a cappella competition in Leipzig.

In 2016 you were awarded the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize in the Theaterhaus in Stuttgart .

After 2012, Unduzo performed for the second time in the a cappella night at the Zelt-Musik-Festival in Freiburg in 2016 .

After SC Freiburg was promoted to the first Bundesliga , they released the song Erste Liga - SC Freiburg.

In 2019 Linda Jesse left the group and was replaced by mezzo-soprano and songwriter Julienne ("Julie") Mbodjé.

The Undozo group, along with the artistic director Tobias Hug, is one of the co-initiators of the Black Forrest Voices Festival in Kirchzarten , which started in 2019 with a large number of workshops for choirs, a cappella singing and concerts with an international cast. Guests included Elephant Clap Milan, The Swingles London, FreePlay Toronto and Anna-Maria Hefele overtone singing.
