Ungilak [ uŋiˈlak ] (according to the old spelling Ungilak ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the Paamiut district in the Sermersooq commune .
location
Ungilak is on a small cape on the same peninsula as Paamiut , nine kilometers to the west. The fjord Eqaluit runs before Ungilak .
history
Ungilak was only inhabited for a short time and is not considered an official place to live. Between 1940 and 1946, an average of twelve people lived in Ungilak.
