The União das Freguesias de Pópulo e Ribalonga is a Portuguese municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Alijó in northern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Pópulo and Ribalonga . Pópulo became the seat of the new administration.
