United Tribuns

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United Tribuns are a rocker-like group, originally from Baden-Württemberg . They describe themselves as an association of bodybuilders, martial artists and bouncers and are represented in eleven countries with so-called "chapters" (local or national clubs). According to the Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the organization has around 1700 members worldwide.

history

The association was founded in 2004 by the former Bosnian boxer Almir Ćulum, called "Boki" , in Villingen-Schwenningen . Ćulum came to Germany from Prijedor as a result of the Bosnian War . Since 2012 there has been an offshoot called United Tribuns Balkan . The members of this chapter can be recognized by the word “Balkan” on the right jacket sleeve.

In Bavaria there are chapters in Munich, Augsburg, Nuremberg and Ingolstadt, which recorded a significant increase in membership in the first half of 2014. They are also represented in the cities of Aachen, Troisdorf, Regensburg and Cologne. In 2014, the group was also noticed in Hanover and later in Osnabrück. In June 2016, the group was involved in a shootout with competing Hells Angels in Leipzig. In Austria there are chapters in Linz and Vienna.

Criminal activity and conflict

Together with other members, Ćulum ran various brothels until summer 2009, including the Laufhaus and La Notte in Villingen-Schwenningen. In the summer of 2009, “Boki” and his cousin “Dado” went into hiding in good time before a large-scale police raid in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Since then, the two have lived in the village of Sanica near Ključ . An international arrest warrant was issued against him, but so far without success.

The United Tribuns are repeatedly involved in competitive battles with other rocker clubs or gangs. With the Hells Angels and Black Jackets , the United Tribuns have conflicts over areas of influence. In May 2010 there were violent attacks against members of the Black Jackets on the part of the United Tribuns in Rottweil . The Black Jackets then mobilized several hundred members across the country to take revenge on the Rottweiler United Tribuns. The police managed to prevent the confrontation through nationwide police measures.

In July 2010, five members were charged with exploitative pimping , assault and human trafficking in over 20 cases before the Constance District Court .

In November 2011 there was a dispute between members of the United Tribuns and the Hells Angels in Pforzheim . A total of between 30 and 50 people were involved in the dispute, with a total of three people being seriously injured. Stabbing and firearms were also used in the dispute. Several vehicles parked near the incident were damaged by bullet holes. In December 2011, around 20 members of the United Tribuns attacked four members of the Black Jackets in a car in Pforzheim. A few hours after the incident, around 500 members of the Black Jackets, who were traveling from different cities, wanted to take revenge on the perpetrators. The Pforzheim Police Department prevented contact with the perpetrators. In February 2011, four members of the United Tribuns stabbed a member of the Black Jackets in Straubenhardt . After months of investigation, officers arrested three men between the ages of 23 and 25 in a raid on January 22, 2015.

In mid-2015, a gang war escalated with the Sondame group ( Red Legion ). During the conflict, the United Tribuns had to close several of their chapters because they could no longer withstand the pressure of the Kurdish group Sondame. The Balkan rockers suffered an enormous damage to their image because they practically did not defend themselves. Several members of the United Tribuns voluntarily surrendered their robes to the families of Sondame in order to be able to leave the conflict unharmed. In Switzerland, all chapters announced the dissolution, so that the United Tribuns no longer have any branches in Switzerland.

In April 2016, the Vice-President of the Ulm Chapter Celal F. was killed with three shots in Heidenheim, his brother survived a shot in the stomach. Continuing conflicts with the rival Black Jackets were suspected as the background . In 2017 a court sentenced a member of the Black Jackets to 13 years imprisonment for "manslaughter and attempted manslaughter in the offense involving grievous bodily harm". In June 2016 there was a dispute between United Tribuns and Hells Angels in Leipzig . A United Tribune candidate was killed and two other supporters injured in multiple shots. In Münster, a pharmacist is said to have been blackmailed by members of the group. In January 2017, there were large-scale raids on Eisenbahnstrasse in Leipzig, during which the clubhouse of the United Tribuns was also searched. Firearms, ammunition and narcotics were seized from the properties.
