Actions and crimes

An argument broke out on January 15, 2012 in Ludwigsburg when members of the Red Legion appeared in a bar and attacked a leading member of the Black Jackets gang . The place was devastated and arrested. As a result, 34 apartments in Stuttgart and the region around Ludwigsburg were searched by members of the Red Legion.

In December 2012 there was a knife fight between the two groups in Esslingen, a 22-year-old member of the Black Jackets was killed and 10 other Black Jackets were injured, some seriously. Numerous members of the Red Legion were charged and sentenced to several years in prison.

In February 2013 there was a shootout between the Black Jackets and the Red Legion in Ulm . Members of the Red Legion had traveled to Ulm from Stuttgart. After a provocation in the Black Jackets area, someone from this group shot at the Red Legion members. They then ran towards the man who had locked himself in the casino. A large police force arrived when members of the Red Legion tried to break open the casino door. The shooter, a member of the Black Jackets, was charged with attempted murder.

In July 2013 there was an argument in Stuttgart with the Hells Angels , in which members of the banned Red Legion threw bottles at the Hells Angels. The police found it difficult to separate the crowd.

In August 2013 there was an argument between members of the gang and the police in Stuttgart.

During a martial arts event on February 22, 2014 in Ludwigsburg, members of the Red Legion attacked Black Jackets who had traveled from outside the greater Stuttgart area. There followed a mass brawl with two slightly injured and three seriously injured Black Jackets. Before the police could appear, almost 20 Red Legion attackers had fled. The suspects were arrested around two months later.

On March 14, 2015, after the “Long Night of the Museums”, numerous alleged supporters and former members of the Red Legion group gathered in downtown Stuttgart. These were masked and pulled from Rotebühlplatz through Eberhardstrasse to the old town. The police responded with a large contingent.

At the end of March 2015 there were major riots in downtown Ludwigsburg. Members of the United Tribuns gang traveled to Stuttgart from several cities in Germany to march there, but the police were able to prevent this by blocking all access roads to Stuttgart. The members of the United Tribuns then evaded to Ludwigsburg. A riot broke out just before midnight after former members of the Red Legion gathered and tried to attack the United Tribuns, which were protected by a massive police presence. As a result, there were violent clashes between the police and former members of the banned Red Legion, mostly Kurds. Several people were arrested and almost 180 dismissals were issued for downtown Ludwigsburg.

Former members of the banned Red Legion later gathered under the name of "Stuttgart Kurds" before the Bahoz organization became a gathering place for militant supporters. The Kurdish term means "storm". Since spring 2016 there have been violent confrontations between Bahoz and the Turkish nationalist Ottomans Germania in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg, which came to a head in Ludwigsburg at the end of 2016 and beginning of January 2017. The State Criminal Police Office stated that the Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg area was dominated by the members of the Kurdish parliamentary group who had clashes with the Ottomans Germania because they were close to the Turkish AKP government.
