Unterleichtersbach is located in the Bavarian Rhön , directly on the federal highway 27 . It is approx. 4 km to the federal motorway 7 . The Franconian Marienweg leads through Unterleichtersbach .

history

On September 15, 1323, Unterleichtersbach was first mentioned separately from Oberleichtersbach.

In the village school, called Old School , lessons were held until 1974. The place was a separate municipality and was incorporated into the municipality of Oberleichtersbach on May 1, 1978.

  • The volunteer fire brigade was only founded in Unterleichtersbach in 1920. The first information appeared in a protocol dated February 21, 1921. Other sources cite the year 1894. The fleet consists of two vehicles: Portable pump vehicle (TSF) - Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 516 with a body from Furtner + Ammer, delivered in March 2016 and a VW -Bus type II-1a built in 1963 as a team transport vehicle MTF.
