Heimpersdorf is a church village and district of Baar (Swabia) in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria . The Heimpersdorf district includes the hamlet of Lechlingszell and the two single farms, Oberperlmühle and Unterperlmühle ; these places were also districts of the municipality, which was independent until April 30, 1978.

geography

Heimpersdorf is located south of Baar in the valley of the Kleine Paar on the plateau of the Lower Lechrain of the Aindlinger terrace staircase . In terms of natural space, it belongs to the Donau-Iller-Lech-Platte , which in turn is part of the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural spatial units in Germany .

Only a few hundred meters west of Heimpersdorf is the north-south state road 2047 from Rain to Aichach .

history

Heimpersdorf was first mentioned in 1280 in the Wittelsbacher Urbar under Heimprehstorf , i.e. village of Heimprecht . It always belonged to the Rain District Court . The landlords were the dukes (or from 1623 electors) of Bavaria in the form of the caste office Rain and the Hofmark Unterbaar .

The Catholic branch church St. Johannes Baptist belongs to the parish of St. Michael in the neighboring village of Osterzhausen . The church is a choir tower church. The tower dates from 1520, the nave to 1670.
In the small chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows of Lechlingszell, which was built by the Thierhaupten monastery , there is an extraordinary Pietà from 1720.

Until July 1, 1972, Heimpersdorf and its districts belonged to the district of Neuburg an der Donau as an independent municipality and then fell to the district of Augsburg with the district reform (initially called the district of Augsburg-West ). On May 1, 1978 Heimpersdorf was incorporated into the Thierhaupten market . On January 1, 1994, the Heimpersdorf district changed from Thierhaupten to the Baar (Swabia) community , which on the same day after a long struggle regained its independence and thus came to the Aichach-Friedberg district and the Pöttmes administrative community .
