Untertal is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality Tragöß-Sankt Katharein in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria .

The village consists of the Rotte Untertal and some individual layers.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 76 building areas with 27,924 m² and 48 gardens on 46,253 m² in the cadastral community Untertal , in 1989/1990 there were 73 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 278 and in 2009/2010 there were 101 buildings on 273 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 116 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 992 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 82 hectares and 1,010 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 56 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1,018 hectares. The average soil climate of Untertal is 22.2 (as of 2010).
