Upland (municipality)

Upland was a short-lived community in the Hessian Upland in the Waldeck district . Today, its former area belongs to the municipality of Willingen (Upland) in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district .

history

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Upland was re-established on December 31, 1971 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Bömighausen , Eimelrod , Neerdar , Usseln and Welleringhausen . As early as July 1, 1970, Usseln was enlarged to include the area of ​​the municipality of Hemmighausen .

On 1 January 1974, the municipalities and Upland Willingen became the new powerful state law greater community Willingen (Upland) together .
