Urs Boeck

Urs Wilhelm Boeck (born  December 8, 1933 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) is a German architect , art historian and monument conservator .

Life

Boeck is the son of the German art historian Wilhelm Boeck . He studied art history , Romance studies and classical philology in Tübingen (Dr. phil. 1956) and Pisa , as well as architecture in Darmstadt (Dipl-Ing.). Since 1980 he has been the main curator and head of department at the Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation . He is a member of the Koldewey Society , the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects , the Historical Commission for Lower Saxony and Bremen , the International Council on Monuments and Sites and, since 2011, an honorary member of the Lower Saxony Heimatbund .
