Ursus is a district on the western edge of the Polish capital Warsaw . It borders the Włochy district to the east and the Bemowo district to the north . The crime rate is the lowest in the whole city.

history

The quarter was created when the tractor manufacturer Ursus established a production facility there. Many production halls and office buildings were built in the vicinity of which many workers and their families settled.

Economic problems forced the company to sell a large part of its production facilities.

economy

Many companies set up shop in the halls and buildings that were sold; B. the carpentry StolMeb, which produces high quality furniture, u. a. for some hotels in Warsaw, but also for the watch manufacturer Zibi. There is a huge shopping mall in the eastern part.
