Uta Sax

Uta Sax (born August 11, 1939 in Backnang ) is a German actress .

Live and act

Uta Sax received short acting and singing lessons and made her debut at the Rheydt City Theater in 1957 . Further engagements took her via Oberhausen , Mannheim , to the Schillertheater Berlin . From there guest performances a. a. at the Hamburg Operettenhaus Hamburg and ( Kammerspiele ).

She was spotted on television very quickly. Right from the start she got leading roles, especially in television plays based on literary models. Among other things, she played as Agata Renni in the Pirandello adaptation The pleasure of being decent in 1962 , directed by the Hollywood returnees Wilhelm Dieterle , and the following year as Cleopatra at the side of Paul Verhoeven as Julius Caesar in the television version of George Bernard Shaws Caesar and Cleopatra , in 1965 in the title role of Arthur Maria Rabenalt's adaptation of the Wesley Burrowes play Carrie and in the same year as Lili, title character in Kurt Wilhelm's Das Mädchen aus Mira based on a model by Michael Stewart. After 1971 Uta Sax hardly appeared in front of the camera; from their late rolls is mainly the mother Nastassja Kinski in Wolfgang Petersen's legendary crime scene - follow- leaving certificate in memory.

Uta Sax is married to fellow actor Jürgen Thormann , with whom she first appeared together in front of the camera in 1960 in his debut film Recommended House .
